How do I manage a class in the Admin Hub?
Open a class from your Classes list to see its full details, then use that page to update its teachers, students, and subjects. Here's how each part works.
Tip: the Subjects tiles on a class page tell you how each course was added, Timetabled means it came from your timetable system, Admin configured means someone added it manually.
Opening a class
- Go to Classes in the left-hand menu of your Admin Hub.
- Click the class code you want to open, for example 12DEE4.
- You'll see that class's full details: its status, when it was created, its teachers, subjects, and students.
Reading a class's details
At the top of the page, you'll see whether the class is Active and the date it was created. Teachers assigned to the class are listed underneath.
Under Subjects, you'll see a tile for each course the class has access to, for example "VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) Physics Units 3&4 [2026]", marked either Timetabled or Admin configured.
Further down, the Students table lists everyone enrolled. Click the arrows next to First name or Last name to sort the list, or use the search bar to find a student quickly.
Adding or removing a teacher
- Click the three dots next to Add subject, in the top right of the class page.
- Click Manage teachers.
- Search for the teacher by name.
- Click their name to add them to the class.
To remove a teacher, click the X next to their name at the top of the class page.
Adding, removing, or moving a student
- In the Students section, click Add a student.
- Search for the student and add them to the class.
To remove or move a student, click the three dots next to their name in the Actions column, then choose Remove from this class or Move to a new class.
Adding course access to a class
- Click Add subject, in the top right of the class page.
- Select a course from the ones your school is subscribed to.
- Click Add course.
The new subject appears as a tile under Subjects, marked Admin configured.
⚠️ Note: to remove a subject marked Admin configured, contact us, it can't be removed from this page. A subject marked Timetabled is managed from Timetabling instead.
