How do I upload offline MESHA answer sheets?

To upload completed MESHA answer sheets:

  1. Scan them into a single PDF file, then click Bulk upload scans on the assessment's page;
  2. The platform reads each sheet and uploads the students' respones; and
  3. For any that require additional attention, you can fix any sheet in a couple of clicks.

Video Walkthrough

For a full walkthrough of this process, please see the video below.

Before you upload

  1. Scan all the completed answer sheets into one multi-page PDF using a standard scanner.
  2. Check that the file is 50 megabytes (MB) or smaller.

⚠️ Note: Make sure each scan shows the whole answer sheet, including the QR code and all 4 black corner squares, so Edrolo can read it correctly.

Upload your scanned answer sheets

  1. In the Assessment sittings section, click Bulk upload scans.

  2. Click Choose File and select your scanned PDF.
  3. Click Upload.
  4. Scroll down to Previous uploads. When the status shows Complete, click Manage upload to check the results.

Check your upload results

The results page shows how many sheets were uploaded, how many scanned successfully and how many need review.

  1. Check each sheet's Upload status. Success means the sheet has been matched to a student and their answers are saved.
  2. Check the Questions answered column to see how many answers were picked up from each sheet.
  3. To look at a scanned sheet, click the eye icon at the end of its row.

If a sheet needs review because the student couldn't be identified

If a sheet can't be matched to a student, it appears under Student could not be linked to assessment, with the student shown as Unidentified. This usually happens when the QR code has been written or scribbled on.

  1. Click the eye icon to view the sheet and check the student's name printed at the top.
  2. Close the preview and click Select student.
  3. Choose the student's class, then select the correct student.
  4. Click Save. The sheet moves into your sitting Success status.

If fewer questions were answered than expected

If the Questions answered number is lower than the total number of questions, it's worth checking the sheet.

  1. Click the eye icon to view the scanned sheet.
  2. Look for any question without a fully shaded circle. A question the student left blank, or shaded too lightly, won't be recorded.

⚠️ Note: Edrolo records answers exactly as they appear on the scanned sheet. A question left blank is saved as no response.

View your students' results

Once your sheets have uploaded successfully, results from offline sittings appear alongside online results.

  1. Go back to the assessment page.
  2. Under Reporting, click View next to the class you want to see (for example, View 8MAT_B).
  3. View each student's marks, score and answers in the same way as for an online assessment.
