To edit a MESHA assessment sitting:
- Open the assessment from the Assessments page;
- Select the sitting and click Edit sitting.
- From there you can change the date, time or length of the sitting, and add or remove students who haven't started yet.
Tip: Absent on the day? You can remove the student from the original sitting and set up a make-up sitting later, as long as it's still within the assessment window.
To change the date, time or length of a sitting
- Click Assessments in the left-hand menu.
- Click View assessment next to your MESHA assessment.
- Under Assessment sittings, click the sitting you want to change.
- Click Edit sitting in the top right-hand corner.
- Update the start or end date and time. You can extend a sitting here if a class needs more time.
- Save your changes.
⚠️ Note: The new date and time must still fall inside the assessment window.
To add students to a sitting
- Open the sitting and click Edit sitting.
- Add the class or individual students you need.
- Save your changes.
If a student you're adding is already in another sitting, remove them from that sitting first. Each student can only be in one sitting.
To remove a student from a sitting
- Open the sitting.
- In the Student progress list, find the student.
- Click the three-dot menu in the Actions column.
- Click Remove from sitting.
⚠️ Note: You can only remove a student who hasn't started the assessment.
If a student is absent or unwell on assessment day
- Remove the student from the class sitting, using the steps above (optional).
- When you're ready to run a supervised make-up session, go back to the assessment page and click Create sitting.
- Tick Set for specific students within a class, then select the students who were absent.
- If those students haven't yet been removed from their previous sitting, they can be removed at this time, by clicking Remove from current sitting.
- Set a date and time within the assessment window.
- Click Create sitting to confirm.
Removing a student from an assessment once they have already started
Once a student has started the assessment, they cannot be removed from their sitting. This is to prevent accidental removal of assessment results during or following the assessment.
