The teacher who created a Task can share a it with other teachers at their school. This is great for teachers that want to collaborate more.
How to share a task
From inside the task builder, click the Share with teachers button and search for the colleague you want to add.
When you add someone, you'll choose their permission level:
- Editor can view and make changes to the task
- Viewer can view the task and its results, but cannot make changes
You can add multiple colleagues at once, each with their own permission level.
What shared teachers can see
Once the task has been sent to students, all teachers who have access to the task whether as Editor or Viewer can see the same live engagement data: who has started, who is in progress, and who has submitted.
Frequently asked questions
- Who owns the task? The teacher who created the task remains the owner. Ownership does not transfer when you share.
- Can a shared colleague share the task with someone else? No. Only the task owner can give other teachers access.
- Can a Viewer make changes to the task? No. Viewer can only see the task and its results.
