This guide explains how school admins manage classes in Admin Hub, including adding and removing teachers, and other core Class Editor actions.
Who this is for:
- School admins and leaders with Admin Hub access
- Heads of Department and Edrolo Coordinators can manage any class at their school. Teacher access may be expanded in future releases
What you can do in Class Management:
- Search for a class by name or code
- Add or remove teachers from a class
- View and move students between classes
- Review class details such as subject, year level and enrolment counts
👉 For a quick orientation to Admin Hub navigation-->Admin Hub: Overview and Navigation
Open Class Management:
- Sign in to Edrolo and open Admin Hub from the left navigation
- Go to Class Management
- Use Search to find a class by class name or code. Results can be filtered to help you find the right class faster
Add teachers to a class:
- Open the target class
- Select the pencil icon to add
- Search by name or ID and select one or more teachers
- Confirm to assign the teachers to the class. You'll see a success message when done
Notes:
- The same teacher cannot be added twice to a class.
- At this stage, there is no differentiation of teacher roles within a class (co‑teacher vs lead).
- Only authorised admins can modify teacher assignments.
Remove teachers from a class:
- Open the class and find the teacher in the Teachers list
- Click X behind their name
- Confirm by clicking remove teacher. A success message will confirm removal
Tip: If a teacher was removed in error, simply add them back using Add teacher.

FAQs:
-
What happens if the teacher I want to add doesn't appear in search?
- Ensure the staff account exists and is active. If not, create or reactivate the staff account in Admin Hub, then try again.
-
Can I assign different teacher roles within a class?
- Not in the initial release. Role differentiation inside a class is planned for future iterations.
-
Will manual changes be overwritten by integrations?
- Yes. When a Timetable integration is ‘Active’ please make sure any changes are also reflected in your source timetable to avoid conflicts. When Timetable integration is Paused or Inactive - for example during the setup period for a forthcoming academic year - changes will not be overwritten. However it’s always best to keep the source timetable up to date.
Best practice tips:
- Use Search first to avoid editing the wrong class.
- Review “confirmations and warnings” before applying changes to avoid unintended updates.
