Use CSV Upload if you are not using an integration yet, or if you need to send updated data while your integration is being set up.

- What happens after you submit: Files are securely sent to Edrolo. Our team reviews and processes the data to create classes and accounts, or to update enrolments in classes already set up.
Before you start
- Export CSV file(s) from your timetabling system, a full timetable dataset is required
- Direct export functions are built into the following common timetabling system: TES(Edval), Timetabling Solutions, Griddle, SchoolEdge, TASS

Step 1: Open CSV Upload
- Sign in to Admin Hub
- Go to Timetabling

In Configuration> Data source, click CSV Upload
Step 2: Upload your file
- Choose your timetable format (Timetable System from the drop down options. Each selection requires a specific numbers of files to be uploaded)
- Choose your CSV file(s) from your computer
- Select the academic year that the data is for

Click Upload File
Step 3: Validate and submit
- The system will run basic checks, such as file type and required headers
- If prompted, fix any highlighted issues and re-upload
- Select Submit for processing to send the file to Edrolo
What happens after you submit
- Review: Our team reviews the file structure and sample rows to confirm mappings
- Processing: We process the data to create or update class enrolments and create any new students and teacher accounts
- Confirmation: We will reach out if anything needs clarification
- Timing: Most files are processed within 2 to 3 business days once validated
Tips for a smooth upload
- Ensure the full data set is exported and all required files are uploaded
- Use consistent codes for subjects and classes
- Include teacher emails for accurate class ownership
- If you are switching from another data source, complete the switch at a natural break to avoid mid-term changes
FAQs
- Can I send multiple files? Yes, the timetable format you select in the drop down will guide you to how many files are required to be submitted as a complete data set
- TES(Edval) requires two; classes and students
- Timetabling solutions requires three; teachers, classes, students
- Griddle requires one
- Other allows up to three files to be uploaded. Please ensure these are appropriately named
- Can I update after submission? Yes. Upload a fresh timetable exports as often as required for the same academic year. We will process the most recent file you submit to keep your class enrolment sup to date.
- Can teachers keep teaching while this is processed? Yes. Existing classes remain available.
