Updating Teacher or Staff Access in Edrolo

If your school needs to update access levels for teaching staff—such as assigning Head of Department or School-Wide Access — we’ll need you to provide details of the subjects and name of staff member.

Understanding HoD and SWA Roles

  • Head of Department (HoD) access allows a staff member to oversee and support teaching and learning within specific subject areas. This includes visibility into classes, progress, and student activity for the relevant subjects.
  • School-Wide Access (SWA) provides a staff member with visibility across all Edrolo subjects the school is subscribed to. This level of access is typically assigned to instructional leaders, Edrolo coordinators, or school executives.

These roles are designed to support leadership in monitoring student engagement, usage, and outcomes across their areas of responsibility.

How to Request an Access Update

To update a staff member’s access, please email us at help@edrolo.com.au with the following details:

  • Full name of the staff member
  • Email address associated with their Edrolo account
  • Type of access required
  • For Head of Department access please specify the subject/s they will be overseeing
  • If applicable, the name of the staff member being replaced

Once we receive this information, we will process the update and confirm once access has been adjusted.
