What is Wonde?
Wonde acts as a middleman between a school’s data system and Edrolo. Schools connect their SIS (student integration system) or timetabling software to Wonde, and Edrolo syncs this data from Wonde.
How does the integration work - how do you know what data to look for?
When a school syncs their data to Wonde (either through their SIS or timetabling software), Edrolo will pull this data from Wonde in a read-only format.
Once available in our system, our Data Specialists will only select the classes (including teachers and students) that are relevant to your school's subscription, and effectively ignore everything else.
For example, if a school is not subscribed to Junior 7-10 Science, these classes, teachers and students' data details will be ignored, and accounts/classes will not be created.
What exact data are you accessing? We store sensitive information on our SIS and we don't want to make all of it accessible.
We acknowledge that student and staff data is sensitive, and the Wonde integration means that your school controls what information is shared with us via Wonde and its privacy settings.
Here is a list of the "required" permissions below for Employees, Students, and Groups, Classes & Subjects which allows our system to set up classes and user accounts:
Employees
- UPI, title, surname, forename, middle name & email
- Teaching staff & current
Students
- UPI, surname, forename, middle names
- Email & local UPN
Groups, Classes & Subjects
- Classes name, description, subject, code, alternative & academic year
- Groups name, code, type, description, notes & division
When do you get the data? How do I know changes have been made?
We perform syncs with Wonde each night at 9:00PM AEST, and we action any changes either automatically or the next morning. If you're unsure that a change has been made, you can contact us and we can check for you.
