Insights allows you to spot trending misconceptions and identify where to target support in seconds. It is designed not just to make your job easier, but to make your teaching more effective and impactful.

Key Benefits:

  • Uncover Common Misconceptions: Instantly highlight questions that stumped most of your students, allowing you to pinpoint misunderstandings and address issues promptly.
  • Monitor Student Engagement: Track the number of questions each student has completed to identify who is active and who may need extra encouragement.
  • Assess Understanding vs. Completion: Gauge the gap between task completion and actual understanding to tailor your teaching. You can quickly identify which students have requested help.

How to use Insights:

Once your students answer lesson questions or submit an assessment, Edrolo will start generating Insights.

2. Possible misconceptions tables:

We help you spot potential misconceptions across all question types. To assist you in prioritizing support, these are split into two categories:

A. Auto-Marked Questions: Automatically marked questions with the highest share of incorrect answers are displayed in the "Questions with possible misconceptions" table. Use this to identify concepts your class struggled with that may need to be revisited.

In the table, you see:

  1. The % of students who answered incorrectly.
  2. How many students in your class have answered the question.
  3. Which section the question belongs to (e.g., Theory Review in Junior Science, Fluency in Junior Maths) or the knowledge unit (for assessments).
  4. The working path (Junior Maths) or difficulty (Junior Science) of the question.

Example: Junior Maths

B. Lowest Marked Questions for questions where students mark their own responses, you can see which questions they self-evaluated as the hardest.

In the table, you will see:

  1. The average mark for each student-marked question.
  2. How many students in your class have answered the question.
  3. Which section the question belongs to.
  4. The working path (Junior Maths) or difficulty (Junior Science) of the question.

3. Student Engagement and Understanding Table

Quickly see who is completing questions, the marks they acquired, and how frequently students have flagged that they need help. This helps you pinpoint exactly where targeted support is needed.

In the table, you will see:

  1. The number of questions each student has completed.
  2. Their total marks vs. maximum possible marks.
  3. The share of questions students have flagged as "needing help" (Lesson Insights only).
